End the summer with this special eveing in the ancient woods amongst the trees and the bird songs, surrounded by the words of William Shakespeare performed by The Ruined Theare Company. We will take you on an evening of love, magic and comedy!

Join us in the magical ancient woods this summer for one of Shakespeare's best loved and most famous comedies!

Four young lovers decide to run away from the noise of the city and their chaotic lives and find themselves in the woods. Lost and with no phone signal they’re forced to face how they really feel… Or are they?

Spells are cast, mystical creatures appear and someone really makes a massive ASS of himself!

This adapted version of Midsummer Night’s will be the first time Shakespeare has been performed in Abbey Wood marking a special occasion! And where better to stage it than the new beautiful Clearing Space, sitting amongst the ancient trees and the willow weaves of Lesnes Abbey Wood.

With a large cast of 15 actors this promises to be an evening of chaos, fun and beauty!

Please note the performance will begin at Lesnes Abbey's Monks Gardens before heading into our magical woods to The Clearing, this is around a 5 min walk.

This production runs for 75 mins and has been adpated by Katie Overstall and Directed by Artistic Director of The Ruined Theatre Nancy Sullivan.
