THEATRE FOR ABBEY WOOD & THAMESMEAD
Hello and welcome!
We are the Ruined Theatre bringing professional theatre in Abbey Wood & Thamesmead.
Along with our top-quality productions we work with the local residents in a number of programmes to bring communities together and offer first-hand involvement with the arts. This includes our outreach programme with local schools, mentorships and working with Peabody.
OUR GOAL
We are a non-profit organisation, we welcome any donations to help towards our productions and outreach work.
All donations will go towards wages for professional actors, creatives, community engagement programmes, costumes and set and bringing our brilliant productions to life.

We run a mentorship programme alongside our summer productions. This is an entirely free course and perfect for you if you're interested in the arts but not sure where to start.
During the Creative Access Mentorship Course you will work alongside our creative team, learn new skills and be introduced first hand to the world of theatre. This course is for those 16+ and is perfect for those interested in directing, stage management, costume and design, producing and other areas of the industry!
Applications for the Summer 2022 Creative Access Mentorship Course are NOW OPEN.
Working with Local Schools
We are always keen to involve local schools with our productions!
From watching rehearsals to designing our incredible theatre flags, if you're a school that would like to work with us or would like us to visit to do a workshop, we'd love to hear from you!
This flag was made by the brilliant students at St Thomas à Beckett Primary School as part of our Welcome Flag initiative, 14 schools took part in this and the flags were proudly displayed at every performance or Our Teacher's a Troll.
