The Ruined Theatre was born out of a need for Abbey Wood to have exposure to the arts after years of historical lack of general investment, effecting it's residents and general landscape.

The Ruined Theatre is a non profit Community Interest Company, this means every penny the shows makes goes directly back into the community to make Abbey Wood a richer place both in culture and spirit. We run initiates such a Free Tickets for families in hardship, School outreach projects and early career opportunities.

We solely rely on sponsors, volunteers and funding, even if our shows all sold out we could not make a profit. The Ruined Theatre brings richness in experience and opportunity as well as employment to Abbey Wood and we hope to become a permenantt fixture
